Letter from a Friend

I'm over at Cathy's house today. You know, that frozen place up north called Life on the Muskoka River. She started a wonderful series called "Letter from a friend," recalling the pre-internet times when you would rush to the mailbox and eagerly rip open a letter from a dear friend. It was a cherished way to catch up on each other's news that's sadly gone by the wayside. Stop over and have a cup of tea. I'd tell you to sit on the porch swing but it's covered in snow.

Full of Awesomesauce!

I just received a 5-star review from Free Book Reviews for Prophecy Moon and I'm dancing on air! Someone please tether me...oh, never mind. I'd rather you let me float while you go enjoy the review.

Edit - There seems to be something I can't fix about this link, so I'm reprinting it here. (Look the other way, SOPA!)

Review:

Loner Travis O'Conner becomes the unwilling champion of a mysterious seer who plunges him into another dimension. His only guide—a deck of Tarot cards in her possession.

He falls in love with a woman who may not be his ally, while battling wizards intent on destroying him. Must Travis lose his love in order to save his world?

Review

Overall Feedback: Eno draws the reader into the action right off the bat and keeps pounding the action into your reading imagination and still manages to add a bit of romance into the story. Plenty of reviews will state that this is a page turner and that they could not put it down. But I say from the start to the finish it will not be that you can not put it down, it will be that you will not WANT to put it down.

Point of View: Fall in love, seek adventure, go on a quest to deliver something enchanted and live in a fantasy all from the safety of your mind all vicariously through Travis.

Voice: Inner struggle and how it can affect us all while immersing the reader in Fantasy and Romance. Perfection!

Character Development: Because the action starts with a bang it takes a bit to really develop the characters but I believe Eno wanted to catch the reader's attention and allow her characters to grow on and with the reader. Just as characters should develop.

Plot: The action could have caused a mess of the plot but Eno obviously took the time to carefully align the plot and pace.

Dialogue: Seemingly dry at times but for the most part added to the character development.

Pacing: Not to repeat myself, okay to repeat myself. Plenty of reviews will state that this is a page turner and that they could not put it down. But I say from the start to the finish it will not be that you can not put it down, it will be that you will not WANT to put it down.

Setting: Travis's world is magical, fantastical and stimulates the imagination bone.

Continuity: One word. FLAWLESS!

Is it me?

Is it just me or does January have a blahness in the air? I'm trying to get out from under a smothering blanket of meh.
Anybody else feel this way?
