Oh Happy Thanksgiving, Laura! I'm so jealous - I love Thanksgiving so much I would be happy to celebrate it twice a year! In the meantime, please have a second helping of turkey and stuffing and pie for me, please? (yum, yum, yum) If Thanksgiving really is a formal way to be thankful, may I say I am grateful for your kindness and enthusiasm .. not to mention your great talent. Hope you have an awesome weekend.
Michael - Thanks! And you're still north of me. ;)
Cathy - I swear, I want to hire you to sit beside me and stroke my ego all day long! I will have my helpings in your name. ;) You are a wonderful friend!
I've got to go do some day-before prepping this morning. Planning and cooking Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners is like ... organizing a huge event, even if it's only for a few people.
You too, Laura. It's a real holiday to me. Just dropped off a box at the food bank, now getting things together for my friends. Hope you have a good one.
LOL! You know what? When I read this, I thought it was Alex's blog. Why would I even THINK that? Your blog and his don't even look alike. Told you I had a mushy brain this week :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I'll set aside some apple pie for you, well not really because we don't live anywhere near each other but you get the point. :)
Laura that is the one bad thing about going to someone else's house for Thanksgiving...NO LEFTOVERS. I went to my sister's and almost cried when I saw she threw away the turkey bones, she doesn't make turkey and rice soup, I do. Hope you at least got to bring home some of the deserts. Have a great week (I missed the weekend again).
Happy Thanksgiving Laura! From one who doesn't to one who does, I'm sending you and yours good wishes for Thanksgiving. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sam! Hugs to you and yours. :)
ReplyDeleteFrom a Turkey down south, Happy Thxgiving to you too!

ReplyDeleteJohn - I know what you mean. It has very little of the commercial trappings attached to it.
ReplyDeleteHey Laura, we don't have a particular feast in Oz, but I am thankful every day for the mundane as well as the awesome things.
ReplyDeleteLoved your ode to Thanksgiving. I hope you'll check out my picture-essay on the topic.:)
