Some Z words for your amusement:
zastrugi - A long wavelike ridge of snow, formed by the wind and found on the polar plains
It sounds like a hot dish with lots of noodles and veggies to me.
zeatin - A cytokinin originally isolated from young corn kernels and found later in various other plants
Uhm…I hope it's more benign than it sounds.
zeekoe - A hippopotamus
An alternate name for those who can't spell hippopotamus? Wouldn't hippo be easier?
It's been a wonderful month, thanks to all of you. I've made many new friends and hope to keep seeing you around!
Laura
Congratulations Laura for seeing this through. I for one am looking forward to writing #fridayflash again, not to mention so many other projects.

Congrats on completing the challenge! Sending a troupe of dancing zeekoes over to celebrate with you now.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! You Made It! For this I am going to share with you a piece of 2mara Trivia (TMI)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was three, a zeekoe pooped on me at the Houston zoo. He did a silly little dance, and with a tail flap, splattered the front of my Mickey Mouse t-shirt.
I have been traumatized since.

Hee Hee Hee, Now I can call someone a zeekoe and they will have no idea what I said. By the time they look it up I will be looong gone.
ReplyDeleteZeatin does sound kinda scary.
Loved your words this month. It has been so much fun.
I grew up in Michigan so I've seen zastrugis or something siliar to them. They are really cool. I knew a girl that was so thin and the snow froze on the top that a gust of wind blew her and she rolled acros the top and couldn't stop. Funniest and darndest thing I ever saw.
ReplyDeletezastrugi - Bless you! :D
ReplyDeleteWell done on getting through the challenge, Laura. Never thought you wouldn't - and what wonderful words you found for us as you went along.
